The Story
Built by Two Guys Whoย Love This Stuff
In 2022 Travis Sylvester and Mike Coutts started a YouTube channel with one mission โ change the industry and get the next generation interested in a craft they both love.
What started as a camera in a working shop turned into something bigger than either of them expected. Travis and Mike have been friends for over 20 years. They work together every day in the shop, fight like brothers, and wouldn't have it any other way.
No gurus. No influencers. Two guys from a real shop who want to see you succeed.

Your Coach
Travisย Sylvester
Travis has 25 years of hands-on experience in metal finishing, bodywork, and paint. He's not a YouTuber who learned to restore cars โ he's a restorer who started a YouTube channel.
Behind The Scenesย
Mikeย Coutts
Mike brings 7 years working alongside Travis in the shop. He handles the curriculum, the camera, the website โ everything that takes Travis's knowledge and turns it into something you can actually learn from.
Because raw expertise means nothing without a system to deliver it.

Not Just Showing You - Helping You Finish
Sylvester's Restoration System is the natural extension of that mission. Not just showing people how it's done on YouTube, but getting in the trenches with you and helping you actually finish your build.
Every restoration is different. We're here to make sure yours gets done.
